This hotel is definitely a hidden gem in the area. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and offer amazing views of the Halifax skyline from the higher floors with a balcony. The attention to detail in the decor adds a touch of elegance to the stay. I was pleasantly surprised to find a kitchenette in my room with a lovely view of Halifax, allowing me to prepare my own meals. Plus, the fact that breakfast is included is a great value for money.
All was perfect during my stay.

We were there during the hurricane on Sept. 4, 2010. We were informed upon the pending hurricane and advised that we would need to take in the patio chairs. A power line was down in front of the hotel. Staff were helpful.

The staff was very attentative. I arrived by motorcycle in the rain - the underground parking was very appreciated. The room was clean. The location was a short walk to the Halifax ferry, which I used to go into Halifax to explore.

Was attending a function at the Legion - so for me it was a great location
For the age of the room- I found the price for the 1 night to be a little expensive. WIth the hotel vacancy rate being what it is - I would have thought a lower rate would attraction more people. A 69.00 rate would probably attract more. As a senior using a walker the doors were too heavy to open comfortably. My daughter has worked for a major hotel chain for over 35 years- so I have had the opportunity to stay at other hotels.
